A Novel UWB Micro-Strip Antenna Array

A novel 1×4 planar UWB antenna array is proposed. The utilized single element is a compact planar circular slot antenna with rectangular patch which has demonstrated ultra-wideband operation characteristics. The feeding network is a 1 to 4 wilkinson power divider. Consequently, such a design is with low fabrication and assembly cost and compact size. The bandwidth of this ultra-wideband antenna array is from 3.1 GHz to 12.4 GHz and the radiation pattern is bidirectional. The performance of the antenna array is investigated both numerically and experimentally.
