EARLYDIAGNOSTIC STUDY OF CHILDREN'S KASHIH-BECK DISEASE WITH BONE ALKALINE PHOSPHATASE

From July to October in 1996,we took the right hand X-ray pictures on 182 children who were from seven to twelve years old , with 136 cases being in the Kashin-Beck disease areas and the others being not. The proportion of patients was 46. 32 percent. We also tested their BALP. The proportion of patients was 56. 62 percent. The proportion of accordance in the diagnosis was ercent. When we used BALP to test the cases in the Kashin-Beck disease areas whose X-res were normal,we got the positive rate 26. 03 percent. The BALP laboratory test indexes ,sensitivity was 92. 06 percent ,specificity was 95. 65 percent. Mistake diagnose rate was 4. 35 percent ,omission diagnose rate was 7. 94 percent ,accuracy was 93. 58 percent. So the following conclusion was drawn: BALP was of great clinic value in early diagnosis possible of Kashin-Beck disease.
