Analysis of Fujian Province iodized salt surveillance data in 2008

Objective To study on the province's quality at processing and production and consumption of iodized salt,timely find the possible problems and corresponding intervention measures.Methods According to the requirement for monitoring the implementing regulations of Iodine Deficiency Disorders(IDD) of Fujian Province.Results The quality of production and processing enterprise qualified rate was 100.00%,the qualified rate of iodized salt was 99.6%,monitoring of randomly sampling showed that the household qualified iodized salt coverage rate was 95.12%,but in some areas qualified iodized salt coverage rate was still less than 90%,and non-iodized salt seriously impact key monitoring area.Conclusion The qualified iodized salt coverage rate has reached the national standard at provincial level,However,there are still local areas subjected to the impact of non-iodized salt,especially in key monitoring areas.
