Clinical features and morbidity season of brucellosis patients

Objective To analyze the epidemiological characteristics of brucellosis in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region and make research on the effective measures to prevent the brucellosis. Methods We Collected 249 patients with brucellosis in our hospital from 2008 to 2013,the clinical symptoms and signs,age distribution,treatment time and history of exposure were analyzed. Results The signs of fever( 92. 4%),myalgia( 71. 5%) and joint pain( 68. 3%) were the most common symptom; the ages mainly from 31 to 40 years old( 28. 9%),41 to 50 years old( 25. 7%) and older than 51( 16. 1%); the disease mainly ℃ curred from March to July in the spring and summer( 73. 9%); in the patients,cattle breeders were the most( 65. 9%). Conclusions At present there was an increasing incidence of brucellosis in China,in order to reduce the incidence of the disease it should strengthen the monitoring of focus groups as well as propaganda and education.
