The Study of Clinical Efficacy and Safety of Statinsin Treatment of Patients at Age of 80 Years or Elder

GUO Shao-min;
Objective:Discusses the application of 80 year old patients or higher statin lipid-lowering effect and safety.Methods Choose our 80 year old patients with dyslipidemia or 96 people,randomly assigned for atorvastatin group(50)and simvastatin group(46)treatment for 1 year.Observation indexes such as liver and kidney function,blood lipids index.Results Simvastatin group total effective rate was 85.12%,atorvastatin group total effective rate was 95.15%,the comparison between the two groups was statistically difference(P0.05).In the two groups before and after treatment comparison of total cholesterol(CHO),triglycerides(TG)and low density lipoprotein(LDL-C),high density lipoprotein(HDL-C),the difference had statistical significance(P0.05).And alanine aminotransferase(ALT),aspertate aminotransferase(AST),creatine kinase(CK),creatinine(Cr),fasting plasma glucose(GLU),there was no statistically significant difference(P0.05).Conclusion Statins for patients,a 80 year old is safe and effective,or atorvastatin has better security advantages.
