Clinical Analysis of Montelukast Sodium in the Treatment of Infantilecough Variant Asthma

Objective to study the clinical effect of montelukast sodium in the treatment of children in cough variant asthma.Methods 68 cases of children with cough variant asthma treated in our hospital from October 2015 to October 2016 were selected as the sample,and were divided into experimental group and control group with 34 cases for each.The control group were treated with routine method.On the basis of routine methods,the experimental group was supplemented with montelukast sodium.Observing the clinical symptoms and pulmonary function of children of these two groups before and after treatment,including FEV1(FEV1),FVC(forced vital capacity), and FEV1/FVC(forced expiratory volume in one second and forced vital capacity ratio) and therapeutic effect,and adverse reactions,and recurrence situation. Statistical softwares were used to process data.Results The cough relief time of children from the experimental group was(4.51 + 1.04) D and the symptom disappearance time was(6.89 + 2.66) D, which were much shorter,and the index of FEV1(2.96 + 1.59) L, FVC(3.69 + 1.12) L, FEV1/FVC(69.25 + 6.28)were much more improved,and the treatment efficiency(100%) was higher and the risk of recurrence was(2.94%),which was much lower.Conclusion In the treatment of cough variantasthma in children,the montelukast sodium combined with conventional therapy,can shorten the remission and disappearance time of clinical symptoms, and shorten the time of lung function improvement,improve treatment efficiency and reduce the risk of recurrence.
