Clinical Analysis of Ceftriaxone Sodium Combined with Examethasone in the Treatment of Children with Purulent Meningitis

Objective the study was designed to analyze the clinical effect of ceftriaxone sodium combined with dexamethasone in treatment of children with purulent meningitis.Methods 46 cases of children with purulent meningitis receiving treatment in our hospital from March,2016 to August,2016 were selected and randomly divided into group 1 and group 2. 23 cases of group 1 received treatment of ceftriaxone sodium combined with dexamethasone;the other 23 cases,in group 2,were unilaterally treated with ceftriaxone. Clinical therapeutic effect of children in those two groups were compared afterwards.Results in this study,the total effective rate of treatment of group 1 was 95.65%(22/23) and was 69.57% of group 2(16/23).The difference in results had statistically significance between the two groups(P 0.05).Data differences based on comparison of clinical symptoms,signs and recovery condition of the two groups had statistically significance between the two groups(P 0.05).Conclusion utilization of ceftriaxone sodium combined with dexamethasone in treatment of children with purulent meningitis has significant clinical effect; with advantages of less adverse reactions and precise curative effect,it should become the preferred method in clinical treatment.
