Process improvement of flanging formation for mini car spoke components

Manufacturing the automobile spoke components is a multi-step stamping forming process,the round-hole flanging often cracks in the last process.The forming process of automobile spoke component was analyzed by finite element simulation software,and the influences of the round-hole flange coefficient,material parameter and forming craft on flange forming were discussed.The results show that the increasing of material yield strength has a great influence on the flange cracking.Through improving the flanging process,the cracking defects of the round-hole flanging in the spoke components were controlled,the cracking rate reduced to 0.1 ‰,and better product quality was obtained.
