Progress on Pathogenetic Mechanism of Infectious Bovine Rhinotracheitis Virus

XU Jian;SHEN Jun-jun;HUANG Xiu-fen;LI Yong-qing;Institute of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine,Beijing Municipal Academy of Agriculture and Forestry Sciences;
Infectious bovine rhinotracheitis(IBR)is caused by infectious bovine rhinotracheitis virus(IBRV)with the characteristic of severe inflammation,expiratory dyspnea and abortion in bovine,and is pandemic around the world and causing enormous economic losses.However,there is no available research for the pathogenetic mechanism of IBRV.Yet viral structural or non-structural proteins are associated with its virulence that have effect on IBRV replication,infection and immune escape.Moreover,IBRV can induce apoptosis on host cells,and can result in serious inflammatory response by activation of inflammasome,which can lead to persistent infection of IBRV and extensive pathophysiological process.Therefore,the exploration of structure and function of IBRV virulent protein(s),the mechanism of apoptosis induction and activation of inflammasome on infected host cells would be the focus on in the IBRV research area in the future.
