Analysis of Intestinal Microbial Diversity in Diarrhea and Healthy Lambs

The lamb diarrhea is highly related to the type and proportion of intestinal flora.In order to investigate the changes of intestinal flora during the diarrhea,fecal samples were collected from three-month old sheep under the same feeding condition.The fecal bacteria 16 SrRNA V4-V5 regions were detected by Miseq sequencing technology with combining multivariate statistical methods to evaluate the diversity of microbial community.The types and quantities of microorganisms in diarrhea lambs and health lambs were compared by using data analysis.The analysis result demonstrated that Proteobacteria from lambs with diarrhea is significantly higher than that from healthy lambs in the phylum level while Bacteroidetes,Cyanobacteria,Lentisphaerae and Tenercutes in lambs with diarrhea are significantly lower than that from healthy lambs.Dominant bacteria are significantly different in family level.Lactobacillaceae in the intestinal tract of lambs with diarrhea is significantly higher than that from healthy ones.Ruminococcaceae is significantly lower in the health lambs.Non dominant bacteria also demonstrated significant difference,such as Bacteroidales,Mollicutes and Rikenellaceae.The data obtained from this experiment have a certain guidance to understand the composition of the intestinal microflora and provide a practical guidance for treating diarrhea disease effectively.
