Advance in Rhoptry Protein 18 of Toxoplasma gondii and Its Role as a Candidate Molecule of Gene Vaccine

Toxoplasma gondii rhoptry protein 18 is secreted by the rhoptry with the serine/threonine kinase activity,belonging to the rhoptry protein 2 family,playing an important role in the aspect of invasion and virulence.Here we reviewed the structure,virulence and mechanism of ROP18 and its role as a candidate molecule of gene vaccine.
