Progress on Regulation Genes of Male Sex Determination in Mammals

Sexual reproduction is a very important biological feature of mammals,sex determination is of particular importance for the occurrence of normal individuals.Mammals generally have two kinds of female and male sexes.Sex determination in mammals depends on the integrity of the chromosomes,especially sex chromosomes in an organism.During the development of its sexual organs,under the combined action of specific genes and reproductive hormones,which involve a number of molecular events,finally decide the formation of the testes(male)or ovaries(female).If there is an error in this process,it will cause deformity of genital organs,sexual reverse and other diseases.Sex determination has been a major issue in the researches of development biology,clinical medicine,livestock genetics,evolution and reproduction.It's beneficial to elucidate the evolution of sexual reproduction and the prevention and treatment of reproductive related diseases.In this paper,the factors affecting the male sex determination were briefly reviewed.
