Effects of Immunization and Challenge with Protoscoleces of Echinococcus granulosus on Blood Physiological and Biochemical Indexes in Beagle Dogs

This paper analyzed changes of blood physiological and biochemical data between the grouped Beagle dogs immunized by two recombinant proteins(EgM9 and EgM123)from EgM family and repeatedly challenged with protoscoleces(PSCs)of Echinococcus granulosus.The results showed that the immunization did not lead to differences in blood markers,multiple infections of PSCs caused significant difference in few indexes,and the similar results appeared compared to the immunization.It is prompted that EgM proteins are safe as vaccine candidates,and repeatedly taking deworming drugs showed no apparent toxic effects.These potentially implied that there were no exact statistical correlations between immunity or repeated infections and blood indexes,and Beagle dogs raised in a closed environment have already formed the feature of relative stable blood physiological and biochemical indexes in the growing period.
