Calculation of Equivalent Dose Conversion Coefficients of Chickens and Other Experimental Animals Based on Body Surface Area

The purpose of this paper was to calculate the equivalent dose conversion coefficients of chickens and other experimental animals to provide evidence for the improvement of basic experimental data in chickens.Photoshopcc 2015 was used to measure the skin surface area of chickens.Based on body weight and body surface area,we can get chicken K value from the Meeh-Rubner's formula,so as to calculate the drug dose conversion coefficient between chickens and other experimental animals.The K value calculated from chicken Meeh-Rubner's formula was 9.24±1.03,mg/kg-mg/m~2 transfer factor was 10.00±1.36,and unit of surface area and the body weight ratio was 0.30±0.44.This study provided important information for rational drug use in bio-medical and husbandry aspects of applications.
