Temporal-spatial Evolution of the Populations and Its Influence in northeast China in the 1930s

The distribution of populations in northeast China is an interactive result of natural factors and humanistic social factors,in which policies factors is the main directive element in the change of populations in 1930s.Based on GIS and quantitative statistical methods,we found the general tendencies of populations'distribution,that is,densely concentrated on the south,where located the Sungari Plains and Liao River Plains,but sparsely distributed in the north,which reflects the extraordinary characteristics of clustering,in a word,the general tendency of population changes appears in 1933 and 1940 in northeast China shows a positive trend as a whole and distributed separately.In all,population density is significantly related to environmental factors such as altitude,temperature,precipitation,land type,distance to rivers、central cities and railways.
