Disasters, Narrative and Local Ecological Knowledge:the Memory of Typhoon in a Southeastern Port

The memory of maritime disaster is an important component of collective narrative in marine community.Shacheng Port experienced frequent typhoon disasters for a long time,where local people formed the profound collective memory about typhoon.By exploring the perspective of multiple narratives,we can further study on how typhoon is rooted in community collective memory as a segment of holistic society and exerts a strong impact on local life experience,which in turn weaken the local people to re-construct local ecological knowledge and to apply it into daily life.
