Aerodynamic Experimental Research in Corner-Fired Furnace with Burners of Different Height- Width Ratios

This paper analyses aerodynamics in a cold model furnace with burners burning bituminous coal on the basis of similarity theory. Through investigating relations of deflection of primary airjet, rotating strength and occupied coefficient of air flow, pressure variety of both sides of airjet and velocity, distribution in furnace exit with various height-width ratio (H/B) of burners, we propose a reasonable range of H/B. It can provide a reference for burners design and retrofit of utility boilers.
