Research on Performance of Brass-based Alloys in Simulated Cooled Water

Discussion is conducted on the corrosion resistance effect of two kinds of copper-based alloys in simulated cooled water which is well conditioned and their corrosion effect with and without BTA by using electrochemical measurements and soak test.Moreover,the corrosion effect of the deposit of the silt on these two alloys is discussed.The results indicate that the corrosion resistance effect is BFe30-1-1BFe10-1-1 without BTA.With BTA,the corrosion resistance effect of BFe10-1-1 is raised by three to five times while the corrosion resistance effect of BFe30-1-1 is raised slightly.And the corrosion resistance effect of FBe30-1-1 can be reduced to one-tenth by the deposit of the silt,inferior to BFe10-1-1.
