Effect of the Form of Manganese on the Electrical Properties of NTC Thermistor

JI Shi-dong1, WANG Chun-ling2 (1. College of Material Seience and Engineering, Nanjing University of Technology, Nanjing 210009, China; 2. Jiangsu Institute of Building Materials, Nanjing 210009, China)  
MnO2 and MnCO3 were used as the sources of manganese. The influences of adding form of manganese on the electrical properties of NTC thermistor (Mn-Co-Ni system) were investigated. The results indicate that adding form of manganese has no remarkable effect on R-T characteristic; has great influence on room temperature resistance and the B-value. These properties appear U-type transformation with the increase of MnCO3 amount added.
