Influence of immersion in AlCl_3 solution on the forming speed and specific capacitance of non-chromate aluminum foil

At room temperature,high purity non-chromate anode aluminum foil was pretreated with NaOH solution,and then immersed in 0.1 mol/L AlCl3 solution for 20 min.In following,etching,cleaning and forming were performed for the aluminum foils.The effects of immersion in AlCl3 solution on the forming speed of aluminum foil and the specific capacitance of formed foil were studied.The results show that,when the foil is formed at a voltage of 530 V,the time required for the formation is reduced by 3 min after the aluminum foil is immersed in AlCl3 solution.And,the specific capacitance of formed foil is increased by 4.6%,reaching a value of 0.612×10–6 F.cm–2.
