Application research of CoSe_2 nanomaterials in dye-sensitized solar cells

In order to further explore the electrocatalytic performance of cobalt selenide counter electrodes(CEs),cobalt diselenide(Co Se_2)CEs were constructed by using sodium hydrogen selenide as selenide source,cobalt chloride hexahydrate as cobalt source.So,Co Se_2 nanomaterials were synthesized by a hydrothermal method at firstly.Co Se_2 CEs were fabricated by a spray method.Then the electrocatalytic activity of Co Se_2 CEs was systematically investigated.And the effect of Co Se_2 CEs on photoelectric performance of dye-sensitized solar cells(DSCs)was also systematically investigated.The results from structure morphology show that Co Se_2 nanomaterials with pure phase have an amorphous structure composed of numerous nanoparticles.In addition,Co Se_2 CEs exhibit high electrocatalytic activity by electrochemical performance test.Furthermore,the power conversion efficiency of the DSC with Co Se_2 CE as high as5.77%is obtained(short-circuit current density of 13.88×10~(–3) A·cm~(–2),open-circuit voltage of 0.65 V,fill factor of 0.64),which is similar to that of the DSC with Pt CE(power conversion efficiency of 5.99%,short-circuit current density of14.62×10~(–3 )A·cm~(–2),open-circuit voltage of 0.64 V,fill factor of 0.64).
