Blow spinning oxide/CF composite nanofibers as anodes for Li-ion batteries

Composite carbon fibers(CF)with Sn O_(2 )and Co_3O_4 were prepared by blowing spinning process and graphitized at 800℃,and their microstructures were examined by SEM.The composite carbon fibers were used as anode to assemble lithium ion batteries and the electrochemical performance of lithium ion batteries based on different anodes was tested.The batteries with CF-Sn O_2-Co_3O_4 nanowires as anode show the best charge-discharge properties.The first discharge specific capacity is as high as 1490 m Ah/g.After 50 charge/discharge cycles,the specific capacity is kept at 559m Ah/g.The electrochemical impedance of the batteries with CF-Sn O_2-Co_3O_4 nanofiber as anode is minimum,which results in a good rate capability.The composite CF-Sn O_2-Co_3O_4 nanofibers show promise to be a potential new material as anode.
