CLASSIFICATION OF CHROME-SERICITE MINERAL SERIES FROM JINCHANG GOLD DEPOSIT, YUNNAN PROVINCE AND ITS GEOLOGICAL SIGNIFICANCE

This study is based on fifty\|seven electron microprobe analyses, one wet chemical analysis, three INAA, one DTA and three X\|ray powder diffraction analyses of chrome\|sericite mineral series from the Jinchang gold deposit, Yunnan Province. Chrome\|sericite mineral series from the Jinchang gold deposit is classified as two mineral groups, ten mineral types and three mineral generations. And its genetic mineralogic features are summed up in this paper. It is put forward that there is a close relation between the formation of chrome\|sericite mineral series and gold ore. The appearance of chrome\|sericite mineral series is an important mark for gold ore prospecting in this area.
