Time-frequency analysis application in earthquake precursor data processing

In this paper, time-frequency analysis of the precursor data of cave strain at Wuhai Seismic Station, body strain at Hatuwusu Seismic Station, water level at Sanhaodi well, water level at Dadianzi well, earth resistivity at Wengniute Seismic Station and earth resistivity at Baochang Seismic Station is studied by using smoothed pseudo Wigner-Ville distribution method. Timefrequency result can clearly shows time interval and frequency range of main components and short-term changes of earthquake precursor data. How to select time-frequency method and how to preprocess precursor data will directly affect the time-frequency results.
