Development of a Novel Amplifier with Multi-channel and Digitally Controlled Gain

This paper introduces a new type of multi-channel and digitally controlled gain amplifier.It possesses 8 input channels of analog signals and adopts a 3-bit digital signal to control the No.of channel.For each channel,there are up to 256 levels of gain and a 8-bit digital signal is used to control the gain.The input signal adopts an absolute value processing circuit with an output of polarization judgement signals.The amplifier is produced with the technology of multi-chip micro-assembly,which features small volume,lightweight and can be used as analog interface chip for microcomputer processing circuit.An example for equipment control and protection system based on this amplifier is also presented in this paper.
