Design and Implementation of the Heat Sink for the 2nd Generation Image Intensifier

We design a new Spindle type heat sink and use it with an annular semiconductor refrigeration piece to refrigerate the photocathode directly.First,we simulate the cooling performance of the heat sink with COMSOL software,and then,we test its actual cooling performance.The two results are almost in tune and both show ideal cooling performance.In the same time,the volume of the system decreases notably and the system becomes more portable.
