Discovering the Knowledge of Residential Distribution of Sichuan Province Based on Spatial Database

Discovering the knowledge of the residential distribution of Sichuan province based on spatial database is very important for the optimizing space layout of residential area.In this paper,the spatial database is developed in Sichuan province,including the residential land data extracted from the raster data of land use of 2000,elevation,slope,multi-year average precipitation and annual average temperatures.The method of discovering the knowledge of residential land distribution from the spatial database was proposed here.The relationship of the residential land distribution and the elevation,the slope,the multi-year average precipitation and the annual average temperatures was discovered in Sichuan province by using this method.The results show that 76.11% residential land is distributed at the elevation blow 588 meters,80% residential land at the slope blow 1.4 degree,97.6% residential land in the area with average precipitation above 778 mm,and about 96% residential land in the area with annual average temperature blow 10.8℃.The area of the residential land decreased with the slope increasing while it increased with elevation,annual average precipitation,annual average temperature increasing,and attained the peak which respectively corresponded to elevation of 500 m,annual average precipitation of 926 mm,annual average temperature of 16℃,and beyond the peak,the area of the residential land decreased with elevation,annual average precipitation,annual average temperature increasing.There is a little residential land distribution in the 40% of the whole Sichuan area,with elevation above 3536 m,slope above 18.5℃,annual average precipitation below 777 mm,annual average temperature below 2.9℃.It is advisable to convert the residential land with bad condition for life and production gradually into ecological land and concentrate the sparse resident land in order to reduce the cost for constructing basic facilities by using the ecological immigrant and the land consolidation.
