APPLICATION OF ANALYTIC HIERARCHY PROCESS TO THE ASSESSMENT AND SIFTING OF REGIONAL GEO—CHEMICAL EXPLORATIONAL ANOMALIES

The method of analytic hierarchy process(AHP)is proposed to make a comprehensive assessment and sifting of the regional geochemical explorational anomalies in the Bikou Group,South of Gansu Proyince.Using this method,a progressive hierarehy model is de- rived,which is based on the comprehensive information in terms of geological background, geophysical and geochemical anomalies and remote sensing,to evaluate and sift the regional geochemical explorational anomalies. In this way, each anomaly is sorted and weighed through a series of judging matrixes corresponding to its hierarchy. The sorting results for the anomalies thus obtained can be used to predict the exploration prospective regions.
