Origin and Distribution of Low Resistivity and High Acoustic Travel Time Gas Pay in the H_2 and H_3 Members in Daniudi Gasfield,Ordos Basin,China

There are three kinds of gas pay in Daniudi gasfield in Ordos basin.The first is high resistivity and low acoustic travel time gas pay,the second,low resistivity and high acoustic travel time gas pay and the third,low density gas pay.The first and the second gas pay are features of high production.This paper analyzes the formation of low resistivity and high acoustic travel time gas pay by using core lab data,conventional logging data,special logging data and geological data.The results show that mud invasion by fracture and good porosity/permeability,high irreducible water saturation by micro-pore throat and chlorite coat are responsible for decreasing resistivity and increasing sonic time of the low resistivity and high acoustic travel time gas pay.As the fracture has greater influence on the formation of the low resistivity and high acoustic travel time gas pay,fracture prediction map has been used to determine distribution of the kind of gas pay.
