Review on Environmental and Ecological Effects of Phosphorus in Freshwater Sediment and Proposals

This paper gives an appraisal on research hotspots of environmental and ecological effects of sediment phosphorus in freshwater bodies in China and other countries.It suggests that further research should be made on ecological effects in water environment of real internal phosphorus-geological original phosphorus natural release,especially on main primary producer algal ecological response in phosphorus-rich rivers' water bodies under natural conditions,such as the headstream rivers with few artificial disturbances.
