Important Metallogenic Series and Mineralizing Pedigree in Liaoning Province

Liaoning Province is an important production base of mineral resources,and provides a large number of mineral resources for the country's construction.This paper,by using theory and method of the metallogenic series,studies in detail the metallogenic geological background,metallogenic environment,metallogenic epoch,mineralization,and metallogenic evolution law of important mineral deposits related to certain mineralization in a certain period of time and condition in the province as well as the formation of the deposit related strata,magmatic rocks,structures and wall rock alteration based on the regional tectonic evolution.This study has re-determined the metallogenic series of the important mineral resources in Liaoning Province and divides it into 16 metallogenic series and 17 metallogenic sub series.Also the study has distinguished the metallogenic pedigree from the horizontal mineralization environment and mineralization time and the vertical,structural units and ore concentration areas based on the mineralization and ore deposit asemblages.Finally,the paper describes the characteristics of metallogenic series and mineralizing pedigree in the province.This classification is of far-reaching significance for studying the regional metallogenic regularity and mineral exploration in Liaoning Province.
