China is tectonically situated in the junction of Eurasian plate,Pacific plate and Indian plate. The evolution of various tectonic units differs in many aspects, and has createdmany different geological settings for mineralization. The types of gold dePosits are comPlex. The gold deposits in China distribute spatially unevenly and tend to concentrate in certainregions.Different tectonic units have different gold geological characteristics.Among the goldmineralization ages in China, the most important is the Yanshanian, then follow successivelythe Luliang jinningan, the Variscan, the Wutainian and the Himalayan. The mineralizationages show obvious spatial difference.Of the total gold reserves of Chian, rock gold is 51.76%,placer gold is 16.76% and associated gold is 31.48%.The structural control of gold deposits is rather clear. The three metallogenic domains have their evolution history of tectonomagmatism and corresponding metallization. Some favorable tectono-magmatism belts in the various massif marginal activity belts,pal-upheaval regions and main folded orogenic beltsare considered favorable regions for gold metallization.
