Formation Mechanism of Seesaw Type in Zanda Basin, Ngari, Xizang(Tibet)

The base tectonic framework of the Zanda basin is a set of NW forward tectonic system constituted by a series of fold, fault, magmatite belt and dynamometamorphic belt, which originated from the India-Eurasian plate subduction, collision, intracontinental convergence. The early and late stages tectonic organize can be distinguished in chronological sequence of the plate movement. The early stage tectonic organize related to the plate subduction, collision forms suture belt and precontinental arc system; The late stages tectonic organize related to intracontinental convergence forms the fault block system of basement. There are a basin range coupling between the Zanda basin and the high Himalaya region. The seesaw type tectonic movement of the basement fault block in the south of the plateau is the primary control factor for the basin forming.
