A Study on the Settlement of Spontaneous Migrants in Inner Mongolia in 1950s and 1960s

From the mid-1950s to the early 1960s,due to natural disasters and other reasons,a large number of migrants moved into Inner Mongolia spontaneously from Hebei and Shandong.Party committees and governments at all levels in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region had taken active and effective measures to settle the spontaneous immigrants to Inner Mongolia.Through the resettlement and relief work of spontaneous migrants,they had overcome difficulties and played a positive role in restoring production and life.At the same time,it objectively supported the construction of the original areas of the spontaneous immigrants and strengthened the unity between regions and ethnic groups.
