A Function Analysis and the History of China's Textile Aid to Africa

Du Ying;Chen Jinlong;
Textile aid to Africa is an important part of China’s economic assistance to Africa.In1961,China helped build a textile factory in Ghana which started the historical process of China’s textile aid to Africa.The 1960s and 1970s was the climax of China’s textile aid to Africa,and the 1980s and the1990s were the stage of technical cooperation and joint venture.Since the 21st century,China’s textile enterprises in Africa had been in trouble because of the political turmoil of African recipient countries,the flood of imported second-hand clothes and the shortage of local management technicians.However,the role of China’s textile projects in Africa was obvious:China’s textile projects help African countries to use their own resources to promote industrialization,could be used as a reference for China’s economic aid to Africa and realized the goal of mutual benefit.
