A Novel Scheme of Power Equalization and Power Management in WDM All-optical Networks

Based on analysis of the some of power imbalance and its limitation in WDM all-optical network, a novel scheme according to the common"Node Isolation Principle"is principle in this paper. We compare it with the traditional one on two issues; and the simulation shows that in our Scheme, the functions of power equalization and power amplification are united into one. So our scheme is more explicit and efficient with little penalty;under the Premise of keeping system performance (SNR) not deteriorated,larger number of cascaded nodes is permitted. So our Scheme offers one feasible novel solution to power equalization and management in WDM all optical networks.
