Study on Algorithm of 3D Terrain Clutter for Airborne PD Radar with Arbitrary Postures

The characteristics of the ground and sea clutter have some important effects on the airborne PD radars with look down mode.Based on the analysis of the PD radar system,this paper studies in detail the modeling method of distance doppler clutter graph of the radar by using an elevation graph of 3D digital terrain and the corresponding classification of terrain with arbitrary postures of the aeroplane.Finally,the validity of the method has been proved by the simulation results.
