SEM has a capacity to observe biological surfaces in three—dimensions, with a great depth of focus of high resolution, whereas SEM has been largely limited to the observation of the hidden surfaces of the tissues and organes as well as the intracellular organelles. Therefore, this study presents several special preparative methods for SEM; methods to disclose intracellalar structures, corrosion casting methods to study architecture of blood vessels, motor end—plate,three-dimensions structure and arrangement of smooth muscles, elastic and collagen fibres and basal lamina. These techniques extend the application of the SEM in the biomedical field.
