EBSD investigation of cold-rolled non-oriented silicon steel in recrystallization annealing process

Micro-orientations evolution of low carbon Cold-rolled non-oriented silicon steel (0.003%C、0.3%Si) during recrystallization annealed at 740 ℃ for 6 s~360 s have been investigated by means of electron back scatter diffraction (EBSD) technique. The results show that new {111} 〈110〉grains nucleate at the boundary of deformed {111} 〈112〉grains, while the {111} 〈112〉 grains originated at the boundary of deformed {111} 〈110〉grains. In addition, {011} 〈100〉 recrystallization grains was formed in cold-rolled shear band of {111} 〈112〉 grains. The controlling of annealing time and temperature can contribute to the increase of the {100} texture.
