A method to correct the energy drifts in electron energy-loss spectrum based on adaptive notch filter

The electron energy-loss spectrum(EELS),which can help to obtain materials’ electronic structure at nanoscale,is an important analytical technique in transmission electron microscopy.However,EEL Spectroscopy is very delicate and sensitive to the environment,e.g.mains interference,which would introduce energy drifts into EEL Spectrum.In this paper,we propose a method based on serial fast-response detector and adaptive notch filter to compensate the energy drifts due to the mains interference.Our results show that the adaptive notch filter can significantly reduce the energy drifts.
