THE PARTIAL SEPARATED VARIABLES OF THEORETICAL SEISMOGRAMS CAUSED BY INTERIOR SOURCE IN STRATIFIED MEDIA——FINITE DIFFERENCE COMPUTATIONAL METOD

The combinational method of partial separation of variables and finite differences for computing the theoretical seismograms caused by surface source in stratified media was studied in Reference. This paper deals With the same method applied to computing theoretical seismograms caused by interior source, and especially by a source located on the boundary between layers. The integral containing Bessel function was computed by use of the Filon method which has advantages as high accuracy and high speed. As examples, this paper shows the computed theoretical seismograms caused by the differenet interior sources in crust model containing two intermediate layers of high seismic velocity.
