Modified hepatectomy with total hepatic vascular blockade under normothermic status

Xue Huang-zhou,et al
We had modified the conventional technique of Heaney's bloodless hepatectomy,i.e.,cancelling synchronous blockade of abdominal aorta during total bepatic blood flow blockade. This technique had successfully proceeded in 3 patients with liver car- cinoma at 2nd bepato-hllar ares.Hemodynamic changes during operation,as well as pre-and post-operstive bilchemical changes of blood were observed. This modified form of Heaney's tech- nique may be believed to be simple, safe and valuable in clinical use.
