Evaluation of thesafety of Diphtheria,Tetanus and acellular Pertussis containing combination vaccines in Changsha(2015-2016)

Objective To evaluate the safety of combination vaccines containing diphtheria,tetanus and acellular pertussis combined vaccine( DTaP) in Changsha. Methods Descriptive epidemiological method was used to analyze the adverse event following immunization( AEFI) data of DTaP,DTaP-haemophilus influenza type b( Conjugate) combined vaccine( DTaP-Hib),and DTaPinactivated poliomyelitis-Hib combined vaccine( DTaP-IPV-Hib) reported in 2015-2016 through the China Information Management System for Immunization Programming. Data of doses administered were collected through the China Information Management System for Immunization Programming. Results From 2015-2016,220 and 8 cases of common and rare adverse reactions of DTaP were reported,the incidences were 30. 39 and 1. 11/105 doses,respectively. 15 cases of common reactions of DTaP-Hib were reported,the incidence was 36. 81/105 doses; 16 and 1 cases of common and rare adverse reactions of DTaP-IPV-Hib were reported,the incidences were 21. 18 and 1. 32/105 doses,respectively. There were no significant differences in the reported incidences of AEFI between DTaP-IPV-Hib and DTaP and between DTaP-IPV-Hib and DTaP-Hib( χ2= 2. 349,P = 0. 309). The incidence of AEFI in booster immunization of DTaP-containing vaccine was higher than that of basic immunization( χ2= 100. 697,P =0. 000). Vaccine reactions often occurred within 1 day after vaccination. The main symptoms of reactions were common vaccine reactions、allergic reactions and thermal convulsions which belonged to rare adverse reactions. Conclusion The incidence of AEFI in booster immunization of DTaP-containing vaccine was higher than that of the basic immunization. DTaP-Hib、DTaP-IPV-Hib,as an alternative of cell-free DTaP-containing vaccine,could not reduce the incidence of AEFI.
