The arterial blood supply feature analysis and its clinical significances of gestational trophoblastic disease by three-dimensional reconstruction models based on computed tomography angiography

Objective To explore the arterial blood supply features of gestational trophoblastic disease( GTD) by three-dimensional reconstruction models based on computed tomography angiography( CTA). Methods We obtained the CTA-data of 19 patients diagnosed with GTD between January2010 to June 2016 and 25 healthy controls. After reconstruction, all models were reviewed for the morphology of uterine arteries,arteries and vein of the ovary,the uterus and the arterial network of the lesion. Results All CTA-data of the patients and controls were reconstructed successfully. The uterine arteries were augmented and tortuous in 17 GTD patients( 89. 4%) with typical appearance of uterine arteriovenous malformation. Furthermore,abnormal arteries and vein of the ovary can be seen in12 patients( 63. 2%). Arterial network rich in blood supply existed in nearly all GTD patients. However,none of these abnormities appears on healthy controls( P 0. 05). Conclusions Three-dimensional reconstruction models based on CTA plays valuably in diagnosing GTD and understanding its arterial blood supplies.
