This study was conducted to determine the lysine requirement of Yu Kou Brown Ⅰ parentstock at 0~14 and 15~42 days of age. A total of 1 080 1-day-old chickens and 1 080 15-day-oldchickens were randomly allocated into 3 groups(5 replicates, 72 chickens for each relicate). Corn-soy-bean meal-corn gluten meal diets were used. Three lysine levels were 0.95%, 1.10%, 1.25% at 0~14days, three lysine levels at 15~42 days were 0.90%, 1.00%, 1.10%. Growth performances of chickenswere determined. The results showed that the average daily gain was significantly higher than that in0.95% lysine group when the level of lysine was 1.25% in 0~2 weeks. But when the level of lysinewas 1.10% in 3 weeks, the uniformity and feed conversion ratio were significantly higher than that in0.95% lysine group. When the lysine level was 1.00% in 3~6 weeks, the feed conversion ratio was sig-nificantly lower than those in 0.95% and 1.10% lysine group, but the other performance showed no sig-nificant difference. In conclusion, the lysine requirement of Yu Kou BrownⅠparent stock at 0~14 and15~42 days of age was 1.10% and 1.00% respectively.
