Study on Treatment for Phthalate Esters Wastewater by Na_2S_2O_8 with Microwave

The oxidation of dimethyl phthalate by sodium persulfate activated with microwave was investigated. The paper aimed at removing dimethyl phthalate(DMP) as a model pollutant, and researched DMP and COD were dealed by oxidant of Na_2S_2O_8 concentration and reaction time, respectively.As a result,The optimum reaction conditions in microwave induced are: microwave power was 800 W, the temperature was 100 ℃, the removal rate of DMP and COD was 72%and 60% respectivelywhen the ratio of sodium persulfate to dimethyl phthalate was 0.6 after 140 seconds.
