Application of Risk-based Inspection(RBI) in Process Piping of offshore Platforms

In order to study the application of risk-based inspection(RBI) in safety risk control of offshore platform process pipelines under special marine environment conditions, the possible failure types of platform process pipelines will be analyzed and divided into stock groups. Combined with API581, the risk level and risk distribution of the platform process pipeline are identified, and the potential failure mechanism is analyzed, and the corresponding preventive measures are put forward. The results show that the main failure modes of platform process pipeline are uniform corrosion thinning, local corrosion thinning and corrosion cracking, etc. The corrosion probability of insulating material with closed-cell foamed glass material is less, and the vulcanization resistance can be improved by upgrading the material and increasing the chromium content of alloy.
