INVESTIGATION ON THE EXCITED STATE PRO-CESSES IN COVALENT-LINKED TETRATOLYLPOR-PHYRIN-PHTHALOCYANINE I. SPECTRAL PROPERTIES IN THE BINARY MOLECULES

In comparison with tetratolylporphyrin ( TTP ) and phthalocyanine (Pc), the spectral properties of tetratolylporphyrin-phthalocyanine linked by covalence ( TTP-O-Pc and TTP-O-(CH2)5-O-Pc ) have been systematically investigated by measuring the absorption, emission, and excitation spectra.The interaction between donor (TTP) and acceptor (Pc) is dependent on the chain length of donor and acceptor. Our results show that there exists the energy transfer from TTP to Pc in TTP-O-Pc and TTP-O-(CH2)5-O-Pc. The relaxation time of charge measured is 18.5ps for TTP-O-Pc, and 82ps for TTP-O-(CH2)5-O-Pc by using a technique of laser frequency domain.
