A CAMPARISON BETWEEN THE LIQUID SCINTILLATION COUNTER AND THE LUMINOMETER IN THE DETERMINATION OF SOD ACTIVTY

To campare the FJ 2115 liquid scintillation counter with the luminometer in the determination of SOD activity, we detected the activity of SOD with FJ 2115 liqued scintillation counter and the luminometer respectively, using the chemical luminous agents. The results showed that the activity of SOD detected by the FJ 2115 was consistent with the one by the luminometer. The FJ 2115 had advantage of high luminous intensity (1 55×10 5 cpm), low background (0 95%), high sensitivity(2ng), the coefficient of variation in class was only 6 4%, the rate of recovery was 97 8%. The conclusion is that the FJ 2115 liquid scintillation counter in the assessment of SOD activtity can be replaced of the luminometer.
