A Process for Treating Vegetable Oil-refining Wastewater

ZOU Min~(1), ZHOU Hai-min~(2)(1.Jiujiang Municipal EnvironmentalMonitoring Center, Jiujiang 332000;2. Shanghai College of Environmental Engineering,Shanghai 200135)
Segmented effluents from a oil-refining plant are treated using a combination process. Oil separation, coagulation, anaerobic digestion and contact oxidation are used as pretreatment for high strength while coagulation, contact oxidation and dissolved air floatation for the mixed (low strength and pretreated effluent of the high strength). Quantities of oil recovered by the process can compensate for the operational cost.
